 Miguel & Miguel Ltd. has secured its presence in the International Wine and Spirits, Seafood and Agri-Food that has as its objectives the promotion of portuguese companies with INTERNATIONAL markets, where buyers come all from abroad, specifically to Portugal, so it is even considered by portuguese companies and official bodies such as the ICEP, the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries Development and Ministry of Foreign Affairs and others as the "Big Sector's Annual meeting" with its network of agents and distributors internationally.

Cheese Fair of Alentejo.
 As it has been inhabited this year we will be present in the Cheese Fair of Alentejo. This is already one of the largest events in Serpa bringing visitors from all over the country and neighboring Spain. Serpa Cheese has a large emphasis and is being hosted side by side with artisan/traditional cheeses throughout the country and some abroad. The exhibition is complemented by the exhibition and sale of other quality products of the county and the region, including sausages, olive oil, bread, wine, honey and olives; abound also sweets and crafts as well as snacks and the famous cuisine of Serpa.

Launching new products.
    
In order to provide our customers with a high degree of satisfaction and in order to respond to market needs, we are pleased to announce the launch of five new products to the market.
It was one of our objectives for this year to create some products that we consider important in the market and will enable us to increase our offer to customers. These products are essentially new to the category of Sausages but we also have a new product in the category of Meats. Go to our Products page and see the new products we have to offer.

Join the system Green Dot.
During the year 2001 we conducted contacts with the Green Dot Society in order to prepare for the accession to the Green Dot System. This accession was seen as an economical, environmentally and administratively more advantageous than the creation of a management system suitable for the waste of non-reusable packaging of the products we put on the market. which allowed us to consolidate our system of packaging waste management, allowing us to comply with legal obligations in the management of packaging waste.
The process was completed during the year 2001 and since then we have provided the annual renewal of certification. With respect to certification in 2011 we started the process yet in the past year, having obtained a Certificate Green Point 2011 in December 2010.

Environmental concern.
In Miguel & Miguel Ltd., environmental protection is always present and is a very important factor for our sustainable economic growth.
During 2010 we carried out an investment in photovoltaic panels for micro-power generation. With this investment the company expects to contribute to a less polluting activities, promoting the use of clean energy for a better environment.
