Launching new products.
    
In order to provide our customers with a high degree of satisfaction and in order to respond to market needs, we are pleased to announce the launch of five new products to the market.
It was one of our objectives for this year to create some products that we consider important in the market and will enable us to increase our offer to customers. These products are essentially new to the category of Sausages but we also have a new product in the category of Meats. Go to our Products page and see the new products we have to offer.

Environmental concern.
In Miguel & Miguel Ltd., environmental protection is always present and is a very important factor for our sustainable economic growth.
During 2010 we carried out an investment in photovoltaic panels for micro-power generation. With this investment the company expects to contribute to a less polluting activities, promoting the use of clean energy for a better environment.

Join the system Green Dot.
During the year 2001 we conducted contacts with the Green Dot Society in order to prepare for the accession to the Green Dot System. This accession was seen as an economical, environmentally and administratively more advantageous than the creation of a management system suitable for the waste of non-reusable packaging of the products we put on the market. which allowed us to consolidate our system of packaging waste management, allowing us to comply with legal obligations in the management of packaging waste.
The process was completed during the year 2001 and since then we have provided the annual renewal of certification. With respect to certification in 2011 we started the process yet in the past year, having obtained a Certificate Green Point 2011 in December 2010.

COOP Beja 2010 Gala - M & M voted best business partner.
 We were elected the best business partner by customers of the Cooperative Proletarian Alentejano in 2010. The gala awards ceremony held on 21 December at the theater "Pax Julia "and aimed to reward persons and entities that are linked to the COOP Beja.The ceremony also served to the presentation of the new trade mark of the Proletarian Alentejano, which now presents itself under the name Coop Beja. In addition to this designation will lead to other brands such as Gourmet Coop, according to John Machado, chairman of the board, that will define the new strategic positioning of the Cooperative.

II National Contest of pork sausages and hams.
 Miguel & Miguel Ltd. got the silver medal at the Second National competition of the pork sausages and hams that held place during the Fair of Light 2010 at Montemor-o-Novo in September between 1 and 6.The contest, organized by ANCPA - National Association of Alentejo Pig Breeders, had as objectives not only the disclosure of black pork products, but also the election of the best companies that work in this field
